About Us
Canterbury & Nelson Nutraceuticals is a charitable trust established to foster collaboration between companies in the nutraceutical, functional foods, cosmecuetical and natural product industries in the regions of Canterbury & Nelson. The aim is to position Canterbury & Nelson Nutraceutical members as providers of World class nutraceutical products by promoting them both nationally and internationally. This is achieved through knowledge sharing and working together, which leads to enhanced production capabilities, increased sales and healthy bottom lines. Our main activities include networking, workshops, overseas trade facilitation and bringing companies together to overcome constraints to the industry.
Our Goals
- Enhance the profile of Canterbury & Nelson as providing World class nutraceuticals products and services
- Create opportunities for market development domestically and internationally
- Promote and facilitate growth of the regional nutraceutical sector and thereby delivering sustainable economic benefits and transformations
- Promote education in New Zealand by encouraging research and innovation relating to the use of nutraceuticals
- Provide opportunities to develop the capability of members
- Promote health and well being in New Zealand by promoting the use of nutraceuticals
- Increase nutraceutical businesses understanding and compliance with regulatory standards
- Build links between both tertiary and secondary education facilities and the nutraceutical sector

Canterbury Development Corporation
The Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC) was instrumental in the formation of Canterbury & Nelson Nutraceuticals and provides support for the day to day running of the cluster
The CDC is Christchurch's publicly funded economic development and employment services agency, which promotes and facilitates regional growth. The CDC is non-profit and commercially neutral.
